Farm-to-Table

Farm-to-Table ideas are becoming more popular all over the U.S., but we’ve found that there aren’t many chances in Park City and Summit County, Utah. Our main goal is to bring you fresh, organic food from different places, while also giving you fun and learning experiences about how to make and eat healthy food. We want to keep Summit County’s farming and rural feel alive as it becomes a top ski spot and tourist spot.

Splendor Valley Farms Utah thinks of itself as a place to swap produce, like a farmers’ market, not a restaurant. Once our barn is all set (which is a big project with a few more steps to go), we’ll use it for lots of cool things.

First, we’re planning to help local people find fresh organic food from the farmers who grow it. We’ll also have dinners for restaurant owners, ski resort folks, private chefs, and CSA members, so they can meet local farmers like those who grow produce and make dairy products, and other cool artisans.

Besides the barn (which we’re building too), we’re thinking of setting up a roadside stand to sell mostly stuff from our farm. But we’re also hoping to get other local Summit County producers to join us, like those who make salads, eggs, and other dairy products, and all sorts of DIY stuff, flower bouquets, dried flowers, and yarns, all made right here in the area.

We’ll offer:

·       Private cooking classes

·       Farming classes and follow-up meals

·       Education and Sampling for local business owners and stakeholders

We’re all about bringing top-notch products to the local community! Our aim is to offer a more focused approach than what’s available now, which could boost the community’s profits. Summit County has so much more to offer than just farm produce. We’ve discovered bakers, craftspeople, meat and dairy producers, fruit producers, and many other agriculturalists who are eager to explore new marketing avenues.

There’s also a growing interest in educational opportunities, from gardening to environmental conservation. We’re inviting residents and visitors, including tourists, to explore agriculture in the County by using our working farm for educational and tourism purposes.

As Splendor Valley Farms Utah grows, we anticipate becoming more tech-savvy by incorporating digital marketplace elements to connect buyers and sellers. We’ll create our own online platforms for farmers and consumers. Future projects might include developing microbes that could be used on seeds to create stronger, more productive crops.
