Regenerative Organic Farm

Splendor Valley Farms Utah, nestled in Summit County, Utah, is a regenerative organic farm dedicated to growing delicious, wholesome food using organic and regenerative farming methods. We’re not just about growing food; we also share our products with resorts, restaurants, private chefs, and Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) members, while also offering educational opportunities, job openings, and food services. Our organic and regenerative farming practices, operations, products, uses, and activities perfectly align with modern, sustainable farming principles.
As a state-of-the-art regenerative organic farm, Splendor Valley Farms Utah goes beyond just growing organic crops. We’re all about the health of people and the planet in everything we do, from growing and handling crops to selling them. By stretching our growing season in both directions, we beat the typical short growing season in Summit County. This clever approach lets us grow a wide variety of unusual crops. Plus, our advanced techniques are great at keeping pests like squash bugs, flea beetles, cabbage worms, and even deer (though we’ve got a new deer-proof fence to keep them out now!) away from our farm.
Local restaurants and resorts really appreciate our locally grown produce, which makes us a favorite supplier. Our dedication to quality has even landed us on the menu of one of the fancy mountain resorts (check out the framed menu in our kitchen!).
When you visit our Park City farm, treat yourself to the joy of eating meals with organically and locally grown produce. If you come during the best part of the growing season, you can pick fresh produce right from our farm to enjoy yourself.
Regenerative organic farming, a comprehensive approach started by J.I. Rodale, aims to bring agricultural practices into balance with nature to boost soil health. Soil, a dynamic and lively membrane and ecosystem, is incredibly intricate and full of life. Organic farming is about creating a vision of working and living in harmony with nature, which leads to healthy soil that supports the growth of healthy plants, ultimately benefiting everyone.
Splendor Valley Farms in Utah uses cutting-edge regenerative farming methods, like greenhouses, to make the growing season longer in the spring and fall. The farm also uses modern water-saving and land-management techniques. They have a wide variety of tools, including different cover materials, smart irrigation systems, cold-frame greenhouses, caterpillar tunnels, a wash pack, and walk-in coolers.
Splendor Valley Farms Utah has gotten equipment grants from the USDA and a special grant for the Utah Pollinator Habitat Program.

Certification
There are a number of organizations that provide certifications for organic farming, including the United States Department of Agriculture ("USDA"). The process for organic certification is four-fold: develop an organic system plan to comply with USDA organic standards, implement the plan, receive an inspection from an accredited agent and receive a decision that the farm is in compliance, receive an organic certificate and officially market products as USDA-Certified Organic. We will seek certification as soon as we qualify our first crops.
Grants
The USDA supports a number of programs to provide assistance to farmers. The USDA provides assistance to farmers through grants, loans and other incentives. Programs focus on conservation, access to capital, risk mitigation and operational recovery from natural disasters. Other government agencies and private entities provide assistance through grants and professional advisory services. Programs include grants for climate change, covid, water pollution, composting and cover crops. Splendor Valley Farms Utah intends to make full use of all assistance available through any channel. We received our first grants in June 2025 from the Utah Pollinator Habitat Program.
Research
Utah boasts a number of first-class universities that specialize in all aspects of agriculture. Locally there are Brigham Young University, Utah Valley University, University of Utah and Utah State University. Each specializes in an aspect of agriculture that will be helpful to Splendor Valley Farms Utah such as crops and methods for colder climates with short growing seasons. In addition to developing relationships with their AG departments to test state-of-the-art techniques, we intend to allocate a portion of the acreage under cultivation to university research.
